This is my beautiful cousin Erin, and her baby to be, Mason. I had the privilege of taking some maternity pictures for Erin last weekend before her baby shower. We had a ton of fun and I'm not going to lie, I had a teary moment. I couldn't believe I was taking maternity pictures for my cousin. She's like a sister to me. I think we went on just about every family vacation together and celebrated our marriages as maids of honor for each other. It's just crazy to think that she and her husband Jeff are about to have a beautiful baby of their own and I am getting all teary just thinking about it again. I'm just so excited for the two of them and know they will be such wonderful parents. I will let the pictures speak from here :)

Bethany & Will Engagement Session (Portland, OR)

Bethany and Will are among my favorite people here in Portland. I've had the privilege of being friends with them for several years now. They are two of the most kind and generous and thoughtful people. Bethany is an elementary school teacher and Will does the photography and media design for Lahash International (check them out!). They complement each other in such a wonderful way that you can't help yourself when you think, yes, this pair is so very good together. I'm just really excited for these two and all the adventures they have ahead of them.
We got to explore the industrial area of Portland on a misty day and try and stay out of trouble with the train drivers. Then we headed over to Sellwood Park right on the riverfront. I had such a good time with these two and captured some sweet moments. Enjoy!
Baby Everett
I had the opportunity to do a maternity shoot with Lauren and Ryan last fall and was thrilled when they asked me to take some pictures of their new little guy, Everett.
I've never done a newborn shoot so I was excited at the chance. He was only seven days old here, oh my goodness. He was precious. I was in awe of this little babe and his little fingers and toes.
I just loved seeing Lauren and Ryan interact with their new son. It really is such a precious thing to visibly see their love for him in their eyes and their smiles. It is a privilege to see and capture those moments.

Adrienne & PJay Engagement Session (Portland, Oregon)

I had a blast with Adrienne and Pjay a couple weeks ago. In the midst of holiday craziness and travels we managed to work around schedules and the weather for a dry day in Portland. It was super cold, but Adrienne and Pjay were such troopers. You wouldn't know it from the pictures but in between each shot, they were bundled up in their coats.
I just loved their look. Pjay wore his US Navy uniform and Adrienne wore a beautiful vintage dress and amazing red heels! They reminded me of some beautiful images I've seen of soldiers returning from war reuniting with their loved ones and I tried to capture a bit of that in these photos.
I had a great time with these two and loved how the images turned out. I hope you like them as much as I do!
Lauren and Ryan and a baby on the way
Lauren and Ryan are expecting a little one on Christmas Day. How wonderful is that? I can't think of a better Christmas gift than a newborn baby. And can we just talk about what a beautiful child they are going to have? :)
I had so much fun with these guys last week for a golden hour session. Lauren is a natural in front of the camera and the light, oh my heart, the light. My heart leaps with joy when I get to take pictures in this beautiful light. I truly am a lover of the light and when I get to combine beautiful lighting a great people, that's where the magic happens.
Congratulations Lauren and Ryan, I can't wait to meet your little one.
